When you apply to an employer that uses Candiro, you may be invited by text message to complete a screening interview. By submitting an application, intake form, or recruiter-provided form where SMS communication is disclosed, you agree to receive job-related text messages from Candiro, operated by Equitir, on behalf of that employer. Messages may include interview invitations, reminders, follow-up questions, status updates, and scheduling links.

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for support. Consent to receive SMS is not a condition of employment or completing an application. Alternative interview methods may be available on request. See our Privacy Policy for details.

The short version: Candiro is a candidate screening platform operated by Equitir. We help Senior Living employers run the first step of their interview process. The employer makes the hiring decision — not Candiro. We don't sell your data, we don't use your phone number for third-party marketing, and we don't make hiring calls with AI.

Who's who

Candiro is the screening platform. Equitir operates Candiro. The Employer is the Senior Living community or operator you applied to work for. The Employer is the controller of your data; Equitir processes it on the Employer's behalf.

What we collect

  • Contact information you or the Employer provide — name, mobile number, email.
  • Interview responses you submit during the Candiro screening.
  • Application context the Employer shares — the role, the location, the position requirements.
  • Technical information automatically captured — device, browser, IP address, timestamps — used for security and service reliability.

How we use it

  • To deliver the screening interview by SMS and email.
  • To produce a structured, ranked summary for the Employer's hiring team.
  • To operate, secure, and improve the Candiro platform.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

What we don't do

  • We do not sell your personal information.
  • We do not use your phone number for third-party marketing or share it with data brokers.
  • We do not use your interview content to train third-party AI models.
  • We do not share your responses with any employer other than the one you applied to.

SMS messaging

By submitting an application to an employer that uses Candiro — through a careers page, job board, recruiter, or intake form where the SMS disclosure is presented — you consent to receive text messages from Candiro related to your application. Messages may include interview invitations, reminders, follow-up questions, and scheduling links.

  • Message frequency varies based on where you are in the screening process.
  • Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan.
  • Reply STOP to any Candiro message to opt out. You'll receive a single confirmation, and no further messages will be sent for that application.
  • Reply HELP for support contact information.
  • Consent to receive SMS is not a condition of employment or of completing your application. Alternate interview methods — web link, email, or a phone interview with the Employer — are available on request.
  • Mobile phone numbers and SMS opt-in data are not shared with third parties for their own marketing purposes, and are not sold.

AI and human decisions

Candiro uses AI to conduct the structured interview and to help generate the summary the Employer reviews. AI does not make hiring decisions. Every advance, decline, and offer is made by a person at the Employer. You can request a human review of any interaction with Candiro by writing to privacy@equitir.com.

How we share information

  • With the Employer who is screening you — they receive your responses and the structured summary.
  • With service providers that help us run the platform — hosting, database, SMS delivery, and AI processing — under written confidentiality and security obligations, used only to deliver the service.
  • When required by law — in response to lawful requests from public authorities.

Data retention

We retain candidate information for as long as the Employer needs it to make and document a hiring decision, plus any period required by law. Employers can direct us to delete candidate data, and candidates can request deletion using the contact below.

Security

Encryption in transit. Access controls. Audit logging. Service providers vetted under written agreements. No system is perfectly secure — we work continually to protect what's entrusted to us.

Your rights and choices

  • Opt out of SMS by replying STOP to any Candiro message.
  • Access, correct, or delete your personal information by emailing privacy@equitir.com.
  • Request a human review of any AI-assisted interaction with Candiro.
  • Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws like the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) or similar state privacy laws.

Children

Candiro is not directed to anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect data from children. Candidates must meet the Employer's minimum age requirement for the role.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated on this page.
